After Filling Treatment

1. Numbness
- The numbness from local anesthesia can last 1–3 hours.
 - Avoid chewing, hot drinks, or biting your cheek/lip/tongue until the numbness wears off.

2. Eating and Drinking
- Composite (white) fillings: You can eat as soon as the numbness wears off.

3. Tooth Sensitivity
- Mild sensitivity to cold, hot, pressure, or sweets is normal for a few days to a couple of weeks.
- Avoid very hot or cold foods for the first 24–48 hours.
- If sensitivity worsens or lasts more than 2 weeks, contact us to meet dentist.

4. Bite Adjustment
- If your bite feels "off" or uneven, especially after the numbness wears off, please make an appointment for filling adjustment . A minor adjustment can fix this and prevent long-term discomfort or jaw issues.

5. Pain or Discomfort
- Minor soreness around the injection site or jaw is normal.
- Persistent pain, throbbing, or swelling may indicate a problem, please make an appointment immediately.

6. Oral Hygiene
- Brush and floss as usual, but be gentle around the filled tooth for the first day.
- Good hygiene helps prevent decay around or under the filling.

7. If you experience severe sensitivity, cracked/chipped filling, pain when biting, swelling or signs of infection kindly contact us to make an appointment with our dentist.
